What brought you to CSN?
I've always known that I wanted to work in the non-profit world! In college, I studied Communications and Public Relations because I knew I wanted to work directly with people. As somebody who has seen the impact that cancer can have on families, I fell in love with the mission at CSN. I found comfort in the contribution to research funding at CSN and I am so lucky to have the opportunity to be a part of something bigger!
What I do at CSN
I am an event coordinator. I work with our chapters to help prepare and manage their fundraising events! I love to do event planning and project-based tasks.
What I like most about my job
I enjoy all of the small details of events. The lighting, decor, music and atmosphere really make up the vibe of the event as a whole. I enjoy incorporating games and laughter into all events that we do. When fundraising for a cause that is so heartbreaking, it is encouraging to bring light to what we are funding, the research.
What moment have you cherished most at CSN?
My favorite moment thus far has been the Lunar New Year Banquet in Houston, Texas. This was a night filled with culture, color, and energy! I love helping plan events that are outside of my bubble, and this was just that. I knew nothing about the traditional Lunar New Year celebration so it was a beautiful evening getting to fully indulge myself in the fun. I am lucky to work alongside families that challenge me and trust me with honoring their child through events.
Many people would be surprised if they knew I…
Have a LEGO collection. I love to build LEGOS and use it as a hobby to unplug from screentime. It is a fun challenge that I can do by myself or with my friends! My favorite sets that I have completed are the botanical collection, the Starry Night set, and the set from the show "Friends".
