Family never fights alone. Whether you're a newly diagnosed family or finding your way after the loss of a loved one, we're here to help. The Cure Starts Now and our 1,200+ families have been in your shoes and are here to listen. Here are some options:
ONE–ON-ONE SUPPORT
The Cure Starts Now was founded by cancer parents, Brooke & Keith Desserich. Nearly all of our chapters are also run by cancer families in honor of their children. What does this mean? We are passionate about funding research in the most effective and efficient way possible. We are also acutely aware of what DIPG/DMG, medulloblastoma and other cancer families are facing and provide the support you need!
Family Support Groups
If you want to join a community of families who understand, our Family Support Groups on Facebook are a place to start. These groups are a safe, understanding space where you can ask questions, read others’ experiences, or simply sit quietly and know you are not alone. There is a whole community there that understands this life in ways no one ever wants to.
Financial Support
Although The Cure Starts Now's mission is to fund cancer research, we understand that battling brain cancer puts a heavy financial burden on families. From medical bills to travel, it can all be overwhelming. The Cure Starts Now has partners that offer financial assistance to families of children with brain cancer.
