In honor and celebration of Vivi Jo Robinson
Vivian Jo was diagnosed with DIPG/DMG in July 2024, just one month after celebrating her 4th birthday. DIPG/DMG is a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer, most commonly found in children between the ages of 5 and 10. It carries a devastating median survival rate of just 8 to 11 months. At the time of her diagnosis there was no effective treatment beyond radiation and early-phase clinical trials, which offer only temporary relief.
On April 22nd, 2025, Vivian’s earthly battle came to an end. Yet her radiant bravery continues to lead us forward. We carry Vivi Jo’s joy, strength, and unstoppable spirit into this fight, determined to honor her by pushing toward the cure every child deserves.
Vivian faced her diagnosis with extraordinary courage and resilience. For nine months, she fought bravely; never losing her joy, her love of cheer, Barbies, adventures at Silver Dollar City, or the warmth she shared with friends and family. She met each day with compassion, love, and a spicy spark that inspired everyone around her. Throughout her journey, Vivian formed special bonds with other children fighting similar battles. Her bright spirit, infectious laugh, and fierce determination left an unforgettable impression on all who knew her, whether in person or through the many hearts she captured from afar.
“Vivian was deeply loved and supported by family, friends, and countless others who rallied around her with prayers and care. Because of her and every child like her; we continue this fight. The CSN family has surrounded us with love and support throughout this difficult journey, inspiring us to become a loud voice for all families facing pediatric brain cancer. We stand with those who have battled, those still fighting, and those yet to begin, holding onto the hope that one day no parent will have to hear the words “terminal” when discussing their child’s health. They won’t have to prepare for the end, but instead prepare to win. This is why we are committed to funding research and pushing forward until we FIND A CURE.”

The Cure Starts Now (501c3 Federal Non-Profit) is one of the only cancer foundations dedicated to a “homerun” cure for all cancers, starting first with one of the most deadly and difficult cancers: pediatric brain cancer. Many experts believe that the lessons we learn from fighting pediatric cancer may in fact provide us the critical first step in winning the battle against all forms of cancer, both pediatric and adult.

Caps for the Cure is a fun and easy way to raise much needed funds and awareness for pediatric brain cancer research. We are asking schools across the country to help us in this battle by allowing their students to wear a hat for the day to show their support for pediatric brain cancer research. In exchange for their ability to wear a hat for the day, students will donate $1.00 to The Cure Starts Now
