Orange, Texas native, David Jones, has been a longtime supporter of The Cure Starts Now Southeast Texas Chapter started by Cristy Burnett-Smith in honor of her son, Corbin. During Brain Cancer Awareness Month in May, The Cure Starts Now Foundation has announced they will be funding over $2 million in DIPG specific research for 2017. Dr. Straathof Awarded $200,000 Grant for DIPG Reserach

The Cure Starts Now Foundation, along with the DIPG Collaborative, awarded another pediatric brain cancer research grant to Dr. Karin Straathof of UCL Institute of Child Health in London. This $200,000 grant will fund Dr. Straathof's "Towards T-cell based immunotherapy for DIPG" study. To date, The Cure Starts Now Foundation has raised over $6.7 million in groundbreaking pediatric brain cancer research. Dr. Nazarian Awarded with $125,000 Grant

The Cure Starts Now Foundation, along with the DIPG Collaborative, awarded another pediatric brain cancer research grant to Dr. Javad Nazarian of Children's National Medical Center in Washington DC.
