Velon is 6 years old and was diagnosed 12/22/23 with DIPG. Since then we have had 3 head surgeries involving his vp shunt. 2 out of 3 where the vp shunt was revised. He completed 30 sessions of radiation treatment and recently started his clinical trial with SonALAsense. So far he completed one treatment, which went really well. After 5 hours of treatment he woke up eating, playing and ready to head out from the hospital. Velon is a true warrior and fights dipg daily with a smile on his face.
