Our warrior, Rydder Daniel Stevens Ames, went home to be with Jesus while surrounded by family on June 4th, 2023 at the age of 8, after a 14 month battle with DMG brain cancer.

Rydder loved his brothers, Walker and Sawyer, more than anything, they were truly best friends. He was so kind and loving when it came to them both. He always told his mom that when they grew up, he was going to have a wife and kids, and that Walker would live with him so he could take care of him.

Rydder was such an energetic and adventurous, little boy that loved getting into mischief, especially when everyone was least expecting it. He was so bright and had the world at his fingertips. He was very inquisitive and would keep you on your toes, daily. Rydder’s favorite hobbies included fishing with his dad, playing Fortnite on the computer and playing games with his mom. He also enjoyed playing dress up and painting his nails with all of his cousins, doing anything and everything with his Mimi, staying the night at Grandma's house and getting spoiled by his Aunt and Uncle. Rydder loved spending his vacations in Myrtle Beach while camping with his family & going to Michigan a few times a year. Rydder was very passionate about church, and would never miss a Sunday service. He loved God and his church family.
