Michael fought since 2016 and won against DIPG. Then in 2022 he was diagnosed with DMG on the opposite side. When doctors at St. Jude asked him about donating his tumor he said he wanted to do everything he could to keep any other kid from ever going through what he was doing. His mom wants to say that she thinks that is where their push and drive comes in! Michael made sure to leave a smile and a giggle with everyone he left. Even through radiation he was not grumpy or fussy... that’s a chore with the steroids!!! Through his life, he wanted to invent things such as his winky clean sponge, and also open a restaurant. His restaurant would be so successful that if anyone could not afford a biscuit and gravy that they would be able to have a free one. His mom doesn't remember anyone that was ever able to make him mad or upset for more than 5 mins. While at St. Jude he was more worried about the other children that were there than he was himself. When he attended Avant School we were informed that he was thankful for everything. The bus rides (which a lot of kids would complain about), the school food (lol), and just all of the friends and the staff that were there. You can tell through his life he was happy and more concerned with making sure that everyone around him was happy and taken care of before he considered himself.
