The Cure Starts Now's Tribute Funds

Matthew Fabian's Tribute Page

A smart, kind, soulful, gentle, polite young man who was a week away from going back to college to finish his Senior year. Majoring in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology, a trumpet player in the pep band and a top shooter on the trap team all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
He started having nagging headaches so went to get it checked out before heading to school... not only was life flighted with a mass on his brain stem but then a day after surgery had a stroke!  Losing the ability to swallow, had double vision, right side loss...then developed a pneumonia! After all that upon having brain drain removed the tube into his brain drain broke off in his head for yet another surgery. After weeks of testing mass they determined he had medulloblastoma cancer.
He relearned to sit and walk while in rehab and then it was off to have proton radiation at Mayo Clinic and now currently doing chemo.
He has had nothing but positivity in his journeys and politeness while dealing with his cancer. He has come so far!! I’m very proud of him!
He is hoping to go back to school and be able to take a few classes this Fall. You can follow his journey on Caring Bridge.
