We were on vacation to visit my sister and her family in Texas for our kid’s spring break. Once we arrived we knew something was seriously wrong with Kyndal and took her to the ER. They did a CT scan and found a large mass in her brain. She went into surgery the next morning. She had to relearn how to swallow, walk, and talk through an intense rehab unit of the hospital. Kyndal did 30 proton radiation treatments, 7 rounds of chemo. Scans were clear for 2 months then relapsed. She then did high dosage chemo and stemcell transplant. Scans were clear for 6 months then relapsed. We started a new chemo treatment plan then found out that chemo is no longer effective. Tumors are growing and multiplying. We are currently seeking other treatment.
