Kylie was diagnosed with brain cancer at only 2 and a half months old. Up until the day of her ER trip she appeared to be a perfectly, healthy growing baby. She was hitting all of her milestones and just had her 2 month well check up where everything looked perfect. After 1 day of vomiting Kylie was taken to the ER where they discovered a mass on her brain. She was then flown to CHOP and within days was diagnosed with AT/RT. Over the past 8 weeks she has undergone 2 major brain surgeries, 2 EVD surgeries, a shunt surgery, a Broviac placement, countless x-rays, MRI's, CT scans and daily therapies including speech, OT and PT. Kylie is currently undergoing her first round of chemotherapy. She will have 5 more rounds before she receives an MRI to determine if she needs more chemotherapy or if she is ready for stem cell therapy. Kylie is the strongest and most resilient baby we know. She is an absolute warrior!
