The Cure Starts Now's Tribute Funds

Kinley Sexton's Tribute Fund

At 5-years-old, Kinley Sexton was as sassy as they come and she loved with her whole heart. If Kinley wasn’t in the house or at school, her parents knew they could find her in the barn with her animals – she definitely had a soft spot for them, especially her pony, Jazzy. Kinley was so full of life and had so many ambitions.

After noticing some balance issues, Kinley’s parents thinking the culprit was an ear infection, brought her to the emergency room on Good Friday in 2018. Four long days later, Kinley was diagnosed with DIPG, a rare and inoperable form of brain cancer. Kinley never let her diagnosis steal her happiness, as she pushed through countless treatments and hospital visits with a smile on her face. For 15 months, Kinley fought with strength and courage before she gained her angel wings.

The Sexton family continues Kinley’s legacy by raising awareness and funding DIPG research, in hopes that one day the cure will be discovered and no other child will have to suffer the same fate.
