In February 2019, at 15mo, Cana was diagnosed with a golf-ball size Anaplastic Ependymoma in her 4th ventricle. They performed an emergency Craniotomy where they were able to remove the entire tumor (Gross Total Resection) and She received 33 rounds of targeted radiation. She amazed us and her doctors with how well she recovered from day 1!  

On April 14, at 5 years old, Cana was diagnosed with a metastatic Ependymoma recurrence. She underwent a double craniotomy in June and is currently starting a long and intense treatment protocol in hopes of stabilizing and possibly even shrinking her tumors. Doctors have been blown away with her ability to miraculously bounce back after multiple brain surgeries with none of the anticipated deficits. We pray God continues to reveal himself and his healing hand through her fight and beautiful spirit!

Cana loves Irish dancing with her big sister and trying to keep up with her big brothers on the hockey rink! She has fought way more than just cancer in her short life, and she is a warrior in more ways than one.
