Alyssa, or Lyssie as her family and friends call her, has been moving mountains since she was born. She is full of life and her smile lights up every room she enters. She has autism as well as epilepsy, we were told she would never independently walk or talk - both things she mastered in her own time. We found her tumor by accident on 1/19/2023, with it being removed on 3/1/2023 (which coincidentally is her adoption date anniversary) we received her devastating prognosis on 3/15/2023. She powered through a rehab stay as well as radiation and thankfully has remained stable. While her surgery took a lot of her strength and skills away, including her ability to independently walk, she continues to amaze everyone around her with her strength, courage and happiness.
