Alexandra was diagnosed with Craniopharyngioma 5/23/2021 after her 5 year check-up revealed a difference in the size of her pupils and her commenting that her vision jiggles when she looks out the side of her eyes. She has since had 2 craniotomies (1 in May 2021, 1 in September 2021) to remove her tumor, followed by 6 weeks of radiation treatments to hopefully prevent the tumor from growing back. She is currently doing well, but on top of all the monitoring and doctor involvement to monitor her tumor, she now also has an aneurysm which will likely need repair and additional monitoring and medical care. She is now 6 years old and doing great, but life is not and never will be the same as it was before her diagnosis.
