On July 30 we were out as a family golfing at our favorite course. Isaacs headache got very bad. This resulted in me taking him into the ER. 

After a CT scan, a tumor about the size of a golf ball was found above his cerebellum. He was also experiencing pressure from excess fluid that was built up in his brain known as hydrocephalus. 

Isaac underwent an emergency surgery at Trinity hospital in Minot to drain some of the fluid. He and I were then life flighted to Sanford Children’s hospital in Fargo. 

Isaac underwent another surgery in Fargo on July 31 to remove the tumor. He had a multiple hour long MRI scan on August 1 that showed the Doctor got all of the tumor, however Isaac is facing another challenge. The tumor was sent to Mayo and was diagnosed as Medulloblastoma. 

Isaac and I, along with my mom Carla, are now at Mayo in Rochester and are going to begin radiation over the span of 6 weeks. Along with lots of Physical and Occupational therapy. Then home to start 8-10 months of Chemotherapy. 

Isaac is a fun and loving little boy who is the best big brother, and friend to everyone he meets. He enjoys playing sports, video games and spending time with his family. 

He has been through 4 surgeries and countless MRIs and CT scans, with so much more to come. We started radiation on August 28th.
